Home Made White Bread Pay over $3.00 for a loaf of bread that's packed with chemicals and garbage. No way! For about 35 cents, you can make your own. It's better, cheaper, and loads of fun.
INGREDIENTS 1 1/3 cups 120-130 degree Water 3 tablespoons Olive Oil 3 tablespoons Sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons Salt 4 cups Bread flour 1 tablespoon Active Dry Yeast
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine 1 cup flour, and all other ingredients in your handy-dandy kitchenaide mixer bowl; mix with paddle or beaters for 4 minutes on medium speed. Gradually add remaining flour and knead with dough hook 5 to 7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in lightly oiled bowl and turn to grease top. Cover; let rise until dough roughly doubles in size- about 1 hour. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface; punch down to remove air bubbles. Roll or pat into a 14- x 7-inch rectangle. Starting with shorter side, roll up tightly, pressing dough into roll. Pinch edges and ends to seal. Place in greased 9- x 5-inch loaf pan. Cover; let rise until indentation remains after touching. Bake in preheated 375 degrees F oven 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from pan; cool on rack.
